About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #162 - Distress

Bit late this morning, did a few photos yesterday but didn't quite have time for my post. Happy WOYWW to all.
I made the little bee ATC using all those inks so thought you'd like to see my Cut'n'Dry storage and my Distress Ink shelf.
Also on my desk are 3 jars awaiting appropriate decoration for our family's weekly chocolate allocation as I eat FAR too much!
The butterfly ATC is my week 5 Colour of Summer entry and the tag is Timmy's July tag.

Oh and the diecuts show what you can get out of an Amazon A1 size envelope. The card is "Kraft" colour and very sturdy. There had to be a good reason for saving all my husband's CD envelopes!

I see you are like me. You like things organised and labelled. I love the way you have set it up. A very pretty ATC, and well done on the recycled die cuts. An excellent use of the envelopes. Kate x 81

You are full of clever ideas. Must get some cut'n'dry and I thought I was good for putting envelopes in the recycling. Your idea is much better.

Hi BJ, I have had a really close up look at the pics and love the way you have organised your storage, do you hire yourself out by any chance? I could use your help, although I have now labelled all my DIs and feel quite proud of myself. Have seen your Tim Tag and butterfly ATC but loving the bee one, it is so cute. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #54

Tee hee, your desk is looking very productive BJ. Love the DI storage, what a fab idea to put the colours on the side, must make life a lot easier. Lol, glad to see I'm not on my own with the recycling of those fab Kraft coloured envelopes (ha ha and any other household packaging tbh - pmsl think I'm very much like Elizabeth in the 'queen of free' stakes!!!!!)
Loving the ATC too, gorgeous honey.
Big hugs x x x x

Love your ATC and spy a couple of other little works of art to the right of the jars on little stands, they look fab too. What a brilliant idea for the Amazon envelopes. I have lots of them and never thought of using them - thanks for the tip! Thanks also for visiting my desk and have a good week xx

Look at all those distress inks! I was shuffling through mine the other day and thinking how I truly need to put color swatches on the ends of them. One of these days.... Great idea to use recycled mailer envelopes for die cuts.

I wish I had somewhere for my distress inks like that - though there isn't much wriggle room for your fingers!! Have a great day - what is left of it - despite the wet!! Helen 16

Brilliantly organised for the cut & dry - I tried writing on the back but it didn't work - never thought of the side ! Mine are all in a heap in a plastic tub on my desk & I keep putting one colour on top of the other ! Will definitely try your way !! My DI's are labelled by name which shows through the really Useful Box I put them in - but now they keep bringing out all those seasonal triple packs - my box is too small. Bigger box or stop shopping ? Have a great week ! Ali #60

Well, you know how much I love recycled stuff. Way to go. All that ink looks the same to me, except the green. Guess I don't understand Timmy.

Love all your organisation! Great work space. Why, Oh why have I thrown away so many great Amazon envelopes! No more! Shoshi needs to start thinking outside the box a bit more, methinks! Great stuff you've cut from it.

Happy belated WOYWW,
