About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #251 - Harp Teacher

Yay I found a harp teacher and had my first lesson on Monday and my next this coming Monday. Hence the harp on my workdesk today, thought some may have missed it last month!

I have also come across a great way to combine my harp and crafting from the latest post on the website, My Harp's Delight.

It's about playing from the heart and one way is to find a picture for your music piece, I have done that and will be doing a page in my journal with it and the music score.

I have Craft Club tonight so thought it about time to alter my project folder so this morning I gave it a good spray.
The book page is my first entry for their competition.

Just had a look back on my week and despite not feeling like I have crafted I seem to have managed quite a lot!

My Craft Barn entry for the last fortnight using the word "ART" - great hymn.

A Timmy Tag inspired page in my DLP

An art journal page in the round robin I have been doing for the past 2 years.

A scrapbook page from my last printed photos from last Summer (must order some more now).

Oh and 2 collage pages for Psalms 18 & 19.

I wonder what everyone else has been up to this week?

I never would have thought of combining visual arts with playing an instrument, but it makes sense, since both tap into our creativity.

What a beautiful instrument the harp is. Hope your lessons continue well.

Very impressed with you BJ. My saxaphone has been in it's case for ages and although I had started learning how to play it I really need a teacher but just don't get round to finding one.

Wow! What gorgeous artwork, I especially love the journal page of the hymn and the two collages for the psalms...they are fantastic! once we finish the discipleship sermon series at church I may look into hymns, worship songs and psalms for crafting inspiration. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#55)

Happy Belated WOYWW. I am very jealous. For some reason I have always wanted to play a harp. If I had been brought up in Wales, I would have had lessons at school. So many wonderful projects you have completed. You must craft day and night! I get very frustrated that I have so many boring but necessary jobs each day keeping me away from my craft room.
