About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #155

Yay WOYWW and I've actually done some crafting!! Shock Horror! Opened my Altered book and found some of my labels had stuck together, so got out my typewriter to make some more. That done I set to actually using some of the new products I have bought recently. First the Artemio London stamps (you might have spotted them lurking last week). I have been wanting one of those Union Flag stamps in 2 parts, so you can stamp the 2 colours separately, for a while now - cool (must try it with different colours!). Used my new Nestie Moroccon Accents dies to set off the stamps on the card. I got the nesties at the Sincerely Yours Show in Biggin Hill last Sunday. I wore my WOYWW badge but didn't meet any other WOYWW badge holder - shame. I have also made a tag using the gears embossing folder I bought a few weeks ago. Thought it made a good backdrop to the Tower Bridge stamp. I guess that is me for this week, makes a change from all the Timmy Dress Formness which ensued from doing his May tag last week!

Love your tag and I Spy a colour wheel on your AB - haven't started mine yet but I'm gathering images.

You asked about paper roses and I found this tutorial for ribbon roses - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NriXH3qMuqk
I don't start mine like this, just roll up a centre, but the rest of it with the folding and rolling is the same. Bit fiddly, especially if you have clumsy fingers like mine but the results are good.

I have that Artemio set and love it because of the two parts, the flags look good in other colours, so do try it. Your card is gorgeous, as is your tag, that embossing folder is really quite effective with your Tower Bridge stamped image. Happy WOYWW, Anne #18

Oooh! Great desk this week! LOVE that tag though! What a great image!

Not done much to my altered book for a wee while now so need to do a catch up fairly soon! Need to get some greaseproof paper though to stop my pages from sticking together!

Thanks for sharing

Happy WOYWW

Hi BJ, I am back. Saw your comment on another blog about 'following'. I didn't know what to do either when I started blogging 3 months ago but I logged in to Blogger and now all the people I follow come up in iGoogle. I do have to log in each day through iGoogle but it is a great way to see the work that other people do - you probably have a long list of blog posts to catch up on. Hope this makes sense. A x

Holy cow! There is a manual typewriter on your desk! So cool! I almost bought an old, old manual one once just as decoration but then I came to my senses that I don't have anywhere to put it (true story-I just have NO SPACE in my house). Great London card and totally fun tags.

Well I never - a Swansea Jack you are!! There's lovely :D My mum was from Brynmill and me dad from Fforestfach, so I'm a Swansea descendant too. Calon Lan, OMG, that brings the Hiraeth out in me too :) Lovely to find out our connection there!
Take care,

No, the funeral was in Llanelli as my folks live in Burry Port, I was brought up in Pembrey. OMG, the Gower beaches. I took my two boys to Caswell every time we were down, that is my favourite family beach though Oxwich and Pennard are close runners up. We always had to go to the Mumbles arcades after a day on the beach. My mum's family came from Mumbles, my Grandparents are in Oystermouth cemetery so I know the area really well!!

Every time I see these spellbinder Moroccan accents used, I think I neeeed them. I think you have captured 'Britain' wonderfully in your card, and your tag is fab.
