Apple for Teacher

I seem to have alot going on right now and the challenges are piling up. First I needed an ATC for a monthly swap and this month's added extra was metal. Tim Holtz's tag this month is metal based so I thought I'd practice his techniques on my swap ATC. I have a few metal working tools but really liked the ball point pen technique he shows us. Typically I stuck my diecuts on BEFORE doing the black paint thing (don't have black alcohol ink) but I managed to get some on round the edges. Lastly as this "isn't" a card I guess I can link it to the ABAC challenge as well. Three challenges in one hit, horrah!

Hi BJ, wonderful background and great job with the metal working tools, you have created some wonderful design and texture on your ATC. Wishing you luck with the challenges - I struggle to make things fit one challenge! Crafty hugs, Anne x

Gorgeous BJ, and how did you make the books? or are they an store bought embellishment? Love the pop of color against the silver background!

Bj, I would not dream of you withdrawing your creation from anything but a card! I only meant your artist trading card is fab! Not that it's a card card! I adore atc's!

Clever you BJ managing to make this ATC for all those challenges! Love your 'metal work' and I note the copper tape around the edges there - really like the look of that and need to pop up to Woodcote I think! I'm glad you entered at ABAC - support from friends is so lovely - and I hope you'll join in the next challenge too.

Lovely ATC BJ, the metal background really makes the images stand out. I really should have a play with some metal again - must blow the dust off the tools!

This ATC was so much fun, BJ. I really like the metal and the way you treated it. I have a few metal working tools, too, but they are NOT the ones that Tim sells. They are ones I have picked up at thrift stores and now call them metal working tools. I do like how you used the ink pen. That is really brilliant.
