About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #261 - Determined!

Yes I am determined not to be late of forget or whatever this week so I am preparing and scheduling my post this week in good time!

Also determined to catch-up with all the various challenges I started this year as May seems to have been a bad month for me so I am weeks behind in some of them.
I have printed off 5 weeks worth in the Psalm challenge and am glad they are taking a break in June - great catch-up time for me. And don't ask how many weeks I'm behind in the Journal 52 Challenge!

On my desk is my latest Q&L page for The Craft Barn, which initially missed the link-up as it closed prematurely, but fortunately they reopened it for a short time - phew.

Also my DLP diary with my latest page fulfilling 2 prompts.

20 - Using a stamp in an new way. I'm a basic boarder or greeting stamp type of person so I used a greeting stamp as a boarder, not done that before.
21 - Embroidery. I got out my pricking patterns for this and back stitched the scallopped paisley design with a few central french knots.

Oh and my ATCs from the anniversary SWAP have started to arrive. Here are the first few, from HelenCindy, Chris and Christine. Thanks - they are super. (yes last 2 arrived after I did my desk photo!)

Dare I even mention the other 2 challenges which started this week???
Namely the Summer Scavenger Hunt and The Summer of Colour.

And for those following my monthly garden, here's the latest. Sadly the Rhododendron is not as its best now, so I just had to include a couple of shots from a few weeks ago too.

Yes - determined - I certainly need to be. Happy WOYWW everyone.

Great pix! And the Scavenger Hunt is nice because it has such a long time frame.

I'm so glad they opened the CB challenge for you. I know some people were quite upset because of it being closed early. Love seeing your garden ANY time you want to show it. Everything is always lovely in your part of the world.

Happy WOYWW with no # yet.

Gosh you are going to be busy with all those challenges.
Garden is lovely, when do you find time for that?
Your psalm page is gorgeous, maybe I ought to challenge myself like that.
Bless you.

Loving the ATCs and the garden looks lush. I love this time of the year as everything looks so green. We live within walking distance of Lincoln City but because it's such a rural area and there are lots of older houses we have quite big gardens.
Just been digging up some extra space for the strawberries which grow like mad here.
Happy crafting, Angela x @Felix the Crafty Cat.

Congrats on getting your challenges worked on! Sometimes it is hard to get motivated. Your garden is still gorgeous and I do like the Rhododendron from a while back. Happy WOYWW!

Popping back to say I'll be at the CB from 10 on Sunday and I think we're staying all day, we've booked them to drop us back at the station but not sure of the time for that as my friend was doing it! Hope to see you there.

Gosh, you set yourself some targets with all those challenges! I hope you manage to enjoy them, and not feel hassled. I know I just don't cope when under pressure, even when it's to do nice things. Your journals look lovely - especially the paisley pattern. I'd love to be able to thumb through them. Have a great week and be kind to yourself. Chris # 10

awesome post BJ! You are so busy and I love all the projects and gardening you are doing. I haven't been so productive due to illness and having to choose one or the other thing to do. I haven't been able to post on Wednesdays for a while and I have missed it! Sorry I am so late getting around! Thanks for sharing. Vickie #62
