About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #262 - Summer of Colour

Well The Summer of Colour challenge started this week. Just another one to add to my cacophony of challenges this year.

I am going to put the 6 weeks of pieces in my DLP which is jolly chunky now.

I received the last 4 of my anniversary SWAPs from Lottie, Jill (my SWAP partner), Anne and Elizabeth. Aren't they gorgeous.

I've been helping my hubby sort out the loft and photographed all the novels I read an age ago and have since given for the Scout jumble.

I also found a card I made back in 1999. The heart is dangly and I must have cut the aperture out by hand then! Haven't things changed?

I had another craft club at my house this week and we looked at dry embossing and I made these sample cards.

Also I have made a friend her 50th card and had to go along the embossing route, just because...

Happy WOYWW everyone. Do join in the mega blog hop over at Julia's Stamping Ground.

Good morning, BJ. Great desk this morning - a summer of colour, indeed! Wonderful colourful place to be working and playing. Great books, too. I have the habit of keeping and re-reading books - hate to get rid of them. I just devour reading books!!!
Have a great week.

Had to laugh at the dangling heart. That's how I still have to cut mine! Things haven't changed that much in my world (grin).

Lovely embossed cards you made for the craft club this week. They are lucky to have you.

And did you put those Colin Dexter books on top to tease me? What a lucky group those scouts are.

Thanks for stopping by. I fell asleep early and when I woke, I thought I would be at the end of the list. Little did I know, Julia has also overslept this week.

Ali and Lynda B were talking about the summer of colour, they're doing it too! Some lovely things on show this week.
You may want to revisit my updated blog to see why there's no WOYWW this week....

great looking desk and post. Love the cards and atc's you are sharing. I need to do some cleaning out and moving stuff out to the charity shop so my house is usable again! Not quite a hoarder but getting there. Have a great week. Vickie

I haven't created my SOC page yet, need to get going on it. I like how you incorporated the embossing. Your page has a lot of texture, beautiful! Diane @ afocusedjourney.blogspot.com

Great cards and how nice for you to find a card you made early on. Always interesting to find out how we've progressed, isn't it?
Happy WOYWW even with no linky!
