....Sheep.
I managed to knit half a dozen sheep for the knitivity this year.
...Birdies.
I completed my challenge to crochet a birdie for all the members of my on-line craft group UKPC.
...Christmas Cards.
Did some Christmas cards in between too!
About Me
- BJ
- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Dozen Christmas Cards
Thought I better make some Christmas cards!
I started with the design I made for craft class last week, I also pondered the cards the ladies had made with the same pieces but all different.
I came up with a slightly different design which was easily reproducible and not too bulky.
I used some old Christmas Cracker tubes for the baubles. Always a considered buy as I look to see if I'll be able to use them after the day.
I went with peel-offs instead of die cut words, as I seem to have quite a few left and it is much quicker.
Also sticky backed holographic ribbon as a border and the tops of the baubles. I didn't really wish to make 24 bows and they are often too bulky for standard postage here in the UK.
Still it took quite some time to make all 12.
I also made a page for my DLP too. Think I need a lie down!

Ashtead Challenge
The Ashtead Card Making and Craft Club year long challenge is coming to an end this week.
Did I have the minimum of 10 A4 pages completed?
Simple Answer NO!
So I finished up my day yesterday getting inky fingers creating.
A page to the Seasons
A page using the initial of my surname. And a page of a never ending line.
Here's the cover of my Challenge folder too. I used various items I have made/used throughout the year.

Papercrafting At Last
OK so my initial reason was to prep for my craft club tomorrow, but all the same, I spent a very happy day crafting (and not a crochet hook in sight!)
I made up kits for the ladies to make 3 Christmas cards on the theme of Baubles.
I got my inspiration from "Simply Cards and Papercraft" magazine, plus their freebie Bauble Die.
As I went along my cards deviated from the inspiration card somewhat.
Mine are on the left by the way.

Even More Crochet
Some more Birdies.
A little Bear, which looks decidedly like a mouse!
And the beginnings of a Cardigan.
So much for my papercrafting!
