My husband came home yesterday from his cycle ride and mentioned there was a "proper" Carousel up on Epsom Racecourse (as opposed to my playground Merry-go-rounds).
We braved the pouring rain on this UK Bank Holiday Monday to check it out, just in time for the end of month round up over on Rinda's blog.
I just had to include the Helter Skelter we saw on the way to the carousel.
#13 - A Merry-Go-Round or Carousel
We walked down a public footpath next to where the carousel was situated and got this tantalising shot through the railings also showing the Carousel Lorry and the farm animals for the "fun day".
In the pouring rain I think not!
Further down still I managed to get a complete shot of the carousel, aren't they colourful.
So still outstanding for me are:-
#15 - A Flag pole with at least three flags on it.
#A - People Eating Outside
#C - A Rocking Chair
However as I have got one of the substitutes I am essentially done.
About Me
- BJ
- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Battenburg Cake...
...or as we call it here, Daddy Cake! As it is my husband's favourite cake.
Plus point is that I don't like it at all so it is safe to buy as I don't eat it!
This version is even less fattening too.

Scavenger Hunt 2015 - part 7
In the Pink!
#B - Someone Holding an Umbrella (as I haven't cracked #15 the flag pole yet)
My son went out to town with his mates but didn't take a coat and it was about to rain! So he bought a pink flowery umbrella from the pound shop to keep them all dry. The funny thing is I just know he'd get one and somehow I wasn't even surprised it was pink! Not his usual colour choice but they were being lads!
I have gone for pink in the garden this year too.
#21 - A Photo of me with the Scavenger sign.
I then got my husband to take a photo of me with this year's Scavenger Hunt logo, I had a pink top on and the logo is pink too.
Definitely in the Pink!

Grow Wild Seeds - GONE WILD!
At last I have some flowers from my Grow Wild seeds.
It would seem that the poppies have taken over since my last installment.
There have been a couple of blue corn flowers.
Also a couple of yellow daisy like flowers (there's a bee taking a rest on one here)
But the poppies are certainly the front runner.
