About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Oh that's me too BJ, and no excuse! Hey, I like the leap day tag..and the lemon timer..what are you using that for - or like I do, have you brought in from the kitchen to remind you that something else needs attention in a few minutes..just as you're getting engrossed! Your AB is looking fab dahling!

I'm impressed with all the brief posts today-I know Julia suggested it but I do my post, THEN come check out what she and the rest of you are up to. I too, have been in a buying mood more than creating, not that I don't want to create but haven't had a lot of time. It looks like you are surrounded with lots of fun things and are making progress on the altered book. Judy #134

Your comment that you left on my blog made me chuckle, I've had to read and re-read her instructions a gazillion times since starting this class! Glad someone else misses things too! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Hey BJ, I used gesso first but only to do the see how it reacted with the vellum, and no, the words do not show through it, but I would love to see your pages, hint hint!!

I have been quite good this year on the buying front, only really letting rip with that new exclusive Clarity stamp, but I might be joining the slippery slope as I am down to my last piece of black card - an essential staple item. It looks as though you have a lot of fun stored up with all your goodies. xx Maggie #5

At the moment, the Clarity stamp is exclusive to us, as the artwork belongs to my daughter and I asked Clarity to make the stamp for us and paid for it. If enough people ask for it, maybe Clarity would produce it commercially, but we have not talked to them about it Hope that clarifies things for you. Thanks for asking. xx Maggie

Short and sweet eh! I have the same Gesso as you - I can't say I like using it much, it's a bit smelly, still it does the job. I like your little drawer unit with the heart shaped knobs, very pretty!

Thanks for coming to see my desk too. The matchboxes are fun to alter - I like finding things to fill them with.
LOL about you and your son and the bells you could hear from my blog - it's actually a wind chime gadget - you can find it if your scroll right to the very bottom of my blog.

I'm off to check out your altered book now x

Phewph... apologies for visiting so late but I'm new to WOYWW and its quite a task to get to visit everyone.
Your desk looks so busy and that's when you're not creating only buying? Wow :D

Thanks for letting me take a peek.
