About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #159

Morning ladies and gents and Happy WOYWW to everyone. Thanks to everyone who commented on my desk last week, I hope I managed to return the favour to all. And a HUGE thanks to Julia for continuing to host this global weekly party snoop!!

I digress, to the batcave (uumm  - craft desk). Thought I'd go for the ariel shot this week - no climbing honest - just outstretched arms! Had the good fortune to find some trousers to fit yesterday, so bought 3 pairs (wearing one), just need to remove the other tags (saved for crafting of course!). I got a t-shirt too and the ribbons have been removed and they are also destined for the crafting box! Sewing box takes centre stage as a result.

And there - in a neat row - are my new Tim Holtz Summer inkpads. YIPPEE. I have made a butterfly ATC to try them out and the colours are quite vibrant and indeed very Summery. I am just missing the "Fall" set now - I hope they release that one again in the Autumn. If you look very carefully you'll spot my Week 3 Summer of Colour Entry, but I am saving that for next week as it uses a new altered book technique too.

Gosh looking at the photo, my desk sure looks busy or is that messy? BJ

The "Scrapbooking Your Faith" pass the book draw was won by Valerie in Texas and will be winging its way there shortly.

I don't know how you manage with such a small space! I am fortunate to have a whole room to craft in and a 6 ft table to use!

Nope, not a bit messy. Creative busyness! There are some real treasures I see! I love your ATC! It is just beautiful! I can hardly wait to see the book! I found it rather ironic that it originated from Texas! I haven't posted about my desk yet so I have no number but I will.

Hi BJ, I just love your workspace, it looks just like mine, full to the brim with wonderful goodies, love it! Your ATC is amazing, I am so in love with these new colours (you might get the autumn ones from AFTH.co.uk, I think they still have them). Looking forward to seeing your Summer of Colour entry. Glad it's not only me who is addicted to the TH seasonal inks. The summer colours are fab aren't they? Mine arrived Monday.
Pretty sure they are going to re-release them season by season so you will only have to wait a short while for the autumn ones.

Yay! Hello there BJ!

Wow, those Tim Holtz colours are gorgeous, and now I've finally seen them, I'm going to have to buy them. Bummer! LOL

I was going to ask if you'd received my ATC, but close inspection of your desk photo shows me that you have, so that's a relief! I was starting to wonder if they were arriving ok!

Hoping you have a great day,

Hi, BJ, thanks so much for your sweet comments over at my blog. I loooooove your ATC with the new distress inks! There are always so many things on my crafty wishlist that I've never picked up any of the seasonal sets (yet!) I like that bright green and bright pink, especially.

I was going to say it looked rather messy, but you are so right. It is BUSY. Either way, it looks like a great place to play, especially since you have the new inks. Love the new inks on the ATC. Yes, I need those inks myself. I'm pleased to have 3 new pairs of trousers too. I'm with you, I found one that fit and bought it in all the colors available. I hate clothes shopping. :-P
