About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

12 Months in View - April Flower

The flower for April over at 12 Months in View is the Primrose from the Genus Primula. We had a super giveaway of some digital prints of pink primulas earlier this month and I made up the little pocket as I did for the March giveaway with the Daffodil. I had made a little tag last month using a Cotton Traders tag and it happened to fit in the pocket, so I have managed to find another 11 such tags (had to trim some) so am hoping for more little pockets throughout the year. The tag is awaiting an arty challenge this month.

I found I had a Primrose stamp so I have stamped and painted a clump of Primroses on my calendar page, added a title and some more of the quotes from our Spring handouts, from Shakespeare and Milton. I added a border to bring the two pages together.

I had used the spare paint from the left hand border on my April zine page and today I also added some of the stamped/painted Primroses, plus a poem by Sara Teasdale again from our Spring handouts.

April is coming along nicely, I like how I can do more than one challenge on my calendar page to build it up bit by bit.

Think it might just be done now though.

Beautiful work sweetie, those tags are so cute. Primroses and daffs have to be 2 of my faves, such pretty flowers. Love your scraped paint background too.
Huge hugs x

Hi BJ, I don't know how I missed these little gems, but I did. They are lovely - the primroses are lovely and I love the pockets. Elizabeth xx
