About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #221 - What is Geocaching?

For my desk this week, I have been playing around with a few techniques from the 12 Months challenge and have done a couple of journal pages.

I finished the little mini album of my friend's little girl's first year this week too.

Here's my monthly photo pages for the Summer season. My Summer pockets/tags are on my desk pending a page too.

We have still been keeping up with the one cache a day challenge, 31 in 31 for August. So thought you might like to see what this Geocaching malarkey is all about as I have mentioned it a few times recently. They have just released this YouTube video as an intro, check it out.

And this is the first time I have loaded a video onto my blog - wonders will never cease.

Come and join the WOYWW fun mega desk hop at Julia's.

And last but not least, it is Tim Holtz's Workshop TOMORROW!

I can hardly contain myself.

Well aren't you the lucky gal? I'm super impressed that you actually got a ticket.

One thing I noticed in the video (which I applaud you for getting it to load on your blog) was it showed the gal taking something away, but didn't mention that you are supposed to leave something, too. I wonder why that part wasn't mentioned.

Happy WOYWW from NO NUMBER. Have a great time tomorrow. Hope you get lots of photos, too.

Lucky lucky thing aren't you! That is awesome and hope you have a great time!. The movie.. the girl didn't tell them that they are to leave something too. At least that is how it works here. Thanks for the peek. Roberta #40

Lovely busy desk. I love the mini book and journal. Geocaching is so interesting. I think I first heard about it on the radio a while back and I was fascinated, but the video is really helpful - well done for adding it to the post! Have a great WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #42

Can't see the video on my iPad so will watch it later when I get up because I'm still in bed (well its only 6:50) drinking my early morning cuppa.
Think we have the same bottle of lime green paint on our desks this week, how about that for coincidence.

Quick visit this week as I'm trying to visit a few more desks this week.

Interesting albums. You will love Tim. never taken a class but spent 2 to 3 hours in front of him as he demoed his stuff. he really is a nice guy. AND Mario is a darling, so helpful. Tim really gets off to showing you how to use his products and his enthusiasm is infectious. You also need a bottomless account!

Congratulations on successfully uploading that video to your blog post ... still haven't worked out how to do that yet. I'd love to get involved in geocaching, it looks a fun way to enjoy a walk and get to know the area you live in, but my mobile takes forever, and I do mean forever, to get online. I think it will have to wait until we upgrade again. Enjoy tomorrow, I'm sure you will come home with loads of ideas and techniques to try out :) Have a great week. Elizabeth x #59

I swear I think quicker then I type I've seen a cache of buttons for somthing like that but it looked like you had to swap one to take one I just didn't have a button or anything to trade out and there was no book to be found there or it would have been fun to sign it :)

So now it's Sunday evening - I guess the excitement is dying down - but I trust it was a good day!! Your desk is amazing. I love those little drawers. The pages are great, I particularly like the blue one. Yes, geo-caching is fun. Only been the once - but greatly enjoyed myself scrambling through fields to find the right tree with the tin of goodies.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

Well, on the basis that God is eternal, and that time is different for Him, then I reckon that retrospective prayer is good - so, am praying that all is well for you today and in the recovery time.!!
Thanks for visiting, and sorry I have only just turned on and picked up messages!!
