About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Craft Club - Juan Sheet

Oh the title of last night's Craft Club made me giggle so I just HAD to do that one of the two tables on offer.

Juan Sheet refers to the using of one sheet of 12x12 or A4 paper/card to make various cards. Here are my first 5 cards.

I didn't follow any plan I tend to just cut'n'go fitting the paper to the card blanks I had. I made some backgrounds and some embellishments from my one piece of 12x12 patterned paper and various embellishments from an A4 piece of gold card. Here's a shot of our table.

As usual I left the card making up until today in my craftcorner, and made 5 little Christmas cards. I do have quite a few pieces left over so I suspect at least another 5 cards could be made from the left overs.

The other table were making up Christmas card toppers using usual shaped dies. Here are the photos of a few.

I love the penguin and robin so will be trying those later. Jolly glad I bought some circle dies earlier this year, just need the scalloped edged ones to go with them now!

Just HAD to add the advert which set off all this frivolity especially for my overseas visitors who may not have a clue what all the laughter is about.

A very interesting exercise, BJ, and 5 lovely cards. Like the paper you chose - nice shades of green. Like you, I like the penguin and the robin most - amazing what you can do with a few circles :) Elizabeth xx

My analytical mind took a few minutes to catch the humor of this post. But when the light bulb finally came on, it was very bright indeed!

Did you bring your die cutting machines, or did you rely on punches? I love the trees, and am a big fan of those gold embellies. Great use of a single piece of card stock because all your cards are awesome.

Looks like you had a lot of fun. It's fun to see the creative results. Loved that advertisement clip. Very funny. I could help but think how similar the packaging of your Plenty looks like the packaging of our Bounty which advertises the one sheet. I think the UK Juan Sheet is more memorable. LOL

Great cards. If you search for one sheet wonders you get loads of ideas on how to use a full 12x12 sheet.
