About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Valentine's / Birthday Weekend

I got loads of flowers for Valentines.

And some more for my Birthday.

I got my small harp for my birthday last year and treated myself to the big one this year. I got the tiny model to make this year too, so I now have a set three!

We'd received our Tower of London Poppy a few weeks back but opened it together on Valentine's. Ours is decidedly muddy and not sure whether to clean it up or not?

For once, my husband wasn't away on business and both days were over the weekend and we could leave our teen "home alone", so we went out on Valentine's for a spot of country air and geocaching.

I was taken to the quaint little village of Shere close to Guildford, where the St James's Church geocache took us to the plaque of "John Wesley's Rule". Unfortunately The Millenium Stone was covered up, probably to protect it from frosts.

Our geocaching search then produced a hide at Albury Saxon Church not far away. The write-up said how it featured in the film "Four Weddings and a Funeral" (I love that film) so how could we resist a visit.

We finished off a lovely day by watching the film too.

It looks to me that this year's Valentine's/Birthday was a memorable one for you. Such beautiful flowers and what a harp collection! Four Weddings is one of my favourite films too so it's lovely to see a photo of a church that featured in it :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
