About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #241 - What A Pretty Parcel

Oh look what landed on my desk this week, such a pretty parcel! I wonder what it can be?

Here's what's under the parcel, a host of projects on the go:-

1) my 2014 diary containing my documented life challenge pieces.

2) an art journal round robin book where I really ought to get my entry done soon!

3) the beginnings of my 52 weeks journal where I will do the psalms challenge alongside the journal 52 challenge, both weekly.

4) the penultimate month in my 12 months in view journal of the seasons, plus my January zine entry.

5) a little mini book made using the Tim Holtz Valentine mini book method. I did this with the first craft club round at my house - what fun we had.

6) A get well soon card for one guy who couldn't make the craft club as he is poorly.

7) A badge from Gilwell Park Scout Camp which I need to sew on my son's scout blanket as he was away last weekend for the Winter Camp - gosh it was cold.

So exactly what was in the parcel?

Well a friend, Anne, had reorganised her storage so she had some 12x12 boxes going spare so I bought 4 from her. Thanks Anne, the parcel really made me smile inside and out! Can't believe I have filled all 4 already!

Thanks to Julia for this weekly blog hop.

You have a LOT going on. You manage to be in more challenges than anyone I know. Very nice.

BTW, I thanked you for pushing me to the Project 52. I appreciate it. Now I look forward to seeing what you make each week.

No number yet, of course.

Well, we must have both been pressing send at the same time because I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be No.1 when I refreshed the screen :)
Those 12 x 12 boxes are great. I have one but they are hard to come by here, for some unaccountable reason.
Have a good week,

So much to see and do on your desk today. That'll keep you busy and off the streets and having lots of fun. I had to giggle that you've filled the 4 bins already. Yep, if I had them they'd be filled already too. It is just the nature of the craft. Judy #82

Hi BJ,

I tried leaving a comment from my smart phone and I was totally surprised by what my phone "typed out" and what I said! Hence the deleted comment.

Good for you to keep up with all of your projects. I'm going to try following along with "A Documented Life." I had bought an old daytimer at the thrift store in the hopes of altering it - and now I have a prompt!

A power strip is a strip of outlets to plug in various appliances. You aren't the only one that didn't know what they were so I'm wondering what you call them in the UK!

Thank you for your early visit!!

Happy WOYWW

You are always a very busy lady! Thanks for helping me to find the Journal 52 website. I am going to combine those weekly prompts with my The Documented Life prompts. But instead of doing a separate page I am doing an ATC for the Journal 52 prompt and adding it into my journal using little envelopes I found that are just the right size. I always love visiting your site.

Wow! BJ, you have an awful lot of projects going on ... when will you find the time? Love the gorgeously patterned package from Anne ... I bet it cheered up your courier just to carry it to your door :) Thanks for dropping by earlier, while the craftroom was still our of bounds. In answer to your question, the room is still pink, and it will remain pink until I'm away for 5 days in May (babysitting 2 of my grandchildren). The EM plans to make the best of my absence :) Thanks for sharing your projects and have a wonderful week. Elizabeth x #67
