About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, DĂ©copatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #188 - Zutter

Hello all you seasoned WOYWWers and newbies of course. Join the merry crew and blog hop the desks of lovely crafters all over the world courtesy of Julia our host.

Thought I'd show you all my new Christmas toy, the Zutter Bind-it-all.
Not actually bound anything yet but have had a play with the hole making part... I intend to bind my Craft Barn Alpha Challenge pages when they are all done, the first one is on my desk entitled "Valentine" and can been seen close up here.

I am in the process of mending my Nativity figures which were delivered in a state of brokenness some years back. Filling in holes left from missing pieces and chips with my texture paste. Shepherd now has a kneecap and the angel has a newly fashioned foot! The Holy family and a lamb were virtually unscathed but the others were in pieces!

There's also my first Timmy Tag of the year which can be seen here. The little set of drawers on the left was another Christmas pressy. The card on the right my insect/bug SWAP on my UKPC group, really need to make mine now.... Oops. And my trusty Dr Who pencil, what more could a girl want?

I've been by several times and could not get my comment to publish. I'm having a terrible time with Blogger, but was able to get on another blog so took the chance to stop by.

I saw your Timmy tag and loved it. You did a great job with it. The Valentine is new. I hadn't seen it. I like that of all the V words, how that one came to mind. I had to chuckle when you wrote that!

I really enjoyed the Magi spread. It was great and colorful, too. Like I said, I've been by, just couldn't get my comments to publish.

Hope you had a great New Year. It was awesome to see your Zutter. What fun you will have with it, I'm sure.

Now wish me luck on being able to publish this comment!

Love that you are able to repair the nativity set from your stash, i hope shepherd enjoys his new knee as much as my dear father in law enjoys his!!!

Like your take on the Craft Barn challenge, I may have a go at that one if I can bear to rip up a dictionary :-)
Enjoy your toy, yet another thing I have tucked away in the cupboard and keep forgetting about, but it is a very handy tool.

Have a good week.

Ah, like Ann B, mine is tucked away in a cupboard but it is a fabulous tool to have and so much fun to use too. I am having terrible problems with Blogger at the moment and don't seem to able to leave comments so hope this one works! Hugs, Anne x #47

Thanks for your visit earlier too.

I am indeed re- cushioning, I generally can't get used to the bare rubber idea. Quite a lot came off with cushion intact, which was good( and cheaper!). Hugs, Shaz

They had a Dr. Who marathon the other day but they jumped around the years so it was kinda hard to keep up. Have you bound anything yet with your new machine? I wish I had one, so let me know how you like it! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Oooh you will have such fun with your new pink friend, just make some little notebooks up and get the idea and you will have it all figured out. Had to smile over you mending the nativity characters... and imagining what my attempts would turn out like... sort of Frankenstein meets Holy Family... Annette #37

Thanks for stopping by my space in blog land. I got the non pink binding system - I think the one by We are Memory Keepers. I have not had the chance to use it yet. My nieces are coming over next weekend and I think that will be the perfect time to break it out and make little books for them to keep. :-) I just thought of that. lol
I hope you share what you make with yours. :-)

Glad to see your Nativity set is having a makeover and repair. We have a set that was bought from Woolworths for less than ten shillings about 50 years ago. They are starting to look a little sorry for themselves, but they are a traditional part of the decorations and are becoming family heirlooms. xx Maggie #32
