About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #189 - Chronology

Oh how I love it when it gets to this time of the week where we share our desks, weeks crafting and new stash. It is never too soon for me to celebrate what we lovingly call WOYWW so a huge thank you to Julia our host for this mega mid-weekly blog hop.

So what have I been up to then? Well I went to visit some internet friends on Saturday and received a huge load of SWAP stash and I was also taken to the Oyster Stamps shop where I was quite reserved. However today was a tad different as I raided my local Do-Crafts stockist for their new Chronology Range. In fact I love the range so much I had to prise myself out of the shop!

Love Timmy's tag this month too so have made a second one in a different colourway and using some of my newly acquired Chronology Range. The 9 cog dies are super. One has Paisley type cutouts which just looked like a mustache to me so I just HAD to add that to my tag - LOL.

Oh and I made a couple of ATCs for my friends to remember our meet-up on Saturday too.

Have a fun week all you WOYWWers.

What a fabulous post - full of the joys of crafting, shopping, sharing and swapping. Love the Chronology stuff too, and went a small step further than Anne - two stamps, and (something I've never bought before) a sheet of decoupage shapes.
Love your turquoise-y TH tag and your butterfly ATCs are just fabulous! Happy WOYWW!

Hi BJ Thank you for your visit to my blog on my first WOYWW your Timmy Tag is great love the colours I think this cog set is really good value 9 cogs in one set, oh and a few moustaches. Hugs Mo x

Hi BJ, a tip for your die if the cogs don't want to come out- cut through a sheet of waxed paper ( I think I got mine in Tesco), it lubricates the die slightly, or rub with a tumble drier sheet, or with either a bar of soap or some beeswax. All these tips came up on Splitcoast Stampers forum when someone had a problem with intricate dies sticking. Tried out the waxed paper, soap & beeswax, and they do work. For the beeswax, you can usually get it in haberdashery- quilters use it for running thread over to stop it snagging, or you can use a genuine beeswax candle. Off to find the die now, lol! I can see why you had a hard time resisting that Chronology line -- great stuff! Isn't it fun when a challenge (like 12 Tags) really sparks your creativity? I was going to make something for a challenge last night and it motivated me to get a little messy with an art journal page that I'm sure I wouldn't have made otherwise. Hurray for the Internet and all its inspiration. Happy WOYWW (on Thursday). ~ Laura #118 [Thanks for the visit.]

Hi BJ,

Oh, I'm sorry I brought heartache by cutting my 12x12 papers.... haaaa

It looks like you made out quite well with the stash share and also with your purchases. I noticed the canvas on your desk (Valentine) and it looks great! I love the TH tag and the two ATCs.

Thank you for visiting me already.
