About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #190 - Idea-ology Glasses

Horrah - THAT time again
A WOYWWing we'll go...

So what delights do I have for you all today? A scrappage in progress, a "shades of grey" card, my alpha challenge and my half decorated dress form. Oh and the chain I just made for my glasses from a piece of Tim Holtz Idea-ology chain!

Scrap page is using some of the contents from my newly acquired stash that I received this week from "The Stamp Attic" having been nominated for some "Pay it Forward" goodies. It was a complete surprise and many thanks to Bernice for nominating me.

The "Shades of Grey" card is for my Aunt. I wouldn't actually read the book myself but couldn't resist making a card for her as she has! I even added some chain from my glasses chain which broke yesterday!

Knew my dress form pin cushion would get a make-over one day and sure enough I have been pinning fabric flowers and lace to her as and when I come across/receive some. She is coming along nicely and easily changeable too.

Then there are the glasses with the new chain. Now I'll have to get some more Timmy chains to ring in the changes.

Have to say it is really difficult taking photos without my glasses on these days! Had to have a few attempts as I kept missing bits off! Happy WOYWW.

Hi BJ, your glasses chain has got to be the top contender for the prize for the most original use of a Tim Holtz product - and very trendy too.

Not read the book either but I've heard/seen plenty of references to it in the crafting world. Your aunt is going to love the card - it's lovely. I like the embossed panel and the butterfly is beautiful.

Have a great WOYWW. Elizabeth x (too early for a number)

Love what your doing with the dress form...it looks lovely
Chain for glasses is a great idea using tim chain!!!! It's such a pain our eye sight going as we get older isn't it.... (Not that we r old) I myself had two operations on my eyes last year and have four different sorts of glasses I have to wear on a daily basis!!!!

Hi Bj thanks for stopping by earlier - you asked about the Gelli plate ? Its about A4 sized, 10mm thick strange soft gel like clear block. You brayer arcylic paint onto it - press on masks, stencils, draw patterns (nothing sharp that will indent the plate) then place paper over it & rub gently & the design is printed onto the paper. Clean with baby wipes ! just playing now but hoping to create some nice background papers/ tags etc ! Ali #19

BJ what an awesome post! So much to see!! I love the glasses chain, so inventive! And the card is gorgeous. I keep hearing about these "grey" books and have no idea what the deal is with them. I have to find out more.
I have the same wood dress form. I usually use her to model jewelry for me. She is "dressed" in white. Maybe some colorful flowers would be good!
Congratulations on your new goodies!
