The letter of the fortnight over at The Craft Barn's Alpha Challenge is "D".
For my special Day I wanted to do St David's Day, the patron saint of Wales as I grew up in Swansea, South Wales. But alas there was no David in my dictionary - sigh.
St David's Day is celebrated on 1st March each year and his emblem is the leek.
However, the flower of Wales is the Daffodil so thought I could do that for my definition. Two birds with one stone methinks.
I used up some patterned paper I have left from a giveaway on 12 months in view, and added some extra stencilling and glitter.
About Me

- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Hi BJ - given your Welsh heritage what else could you have chosen? (Mr M hales from Baglan - small world!)Really liking the layers you've built up in your background - I think stencils/masks/templates are my favourite tool at the moment. Hugs MMx
I didn't think of daffodil, which is shameful because I am Welsh - and live in Swansea. Great project for letter D! xxx Keren
Me again. Thanks for visiting my blog. A Mumbles girl, eh? I can see Mumbles lighthouse from my living room window - I live close to Singleton Park, and Mayals is not far away at all. Small world! xxx Keren
