Can't believe I have only just remembered it is WEDNESDAY and of course the WOYWW 5th Anniversary SWAP!!!!!My excuse is that it is half term and having been rather poorly over the weekend I have only just managed to finish up my Kitchen Chemistry Course which came to an end last Friday.
So my desk this week is the kitchen counter and my last experiment.We were discovering how enzymes work as catalysts in biology.
We showed how toxic hydrogen peroxide is broken down to harmless oxygen and water using enzymes found in potatoes and yeast. I never knew hydrogen peroxide is a by-product of breathing so our body needs to break it down pretty quick.
I have a few ATC's left up for grabs, here's a reminder.

Hi BJ, sorry to hear you have not been well, hope you are on the mend now. Well this is something different to see, how interesting. Are you doing the kitchen chemistry course as a family or is it just you? Chemistry was not one of my best subjects at school lol. On the other hand I do know a beautiful ATC's when I see one or eight even! I would love to swap with you again this year if you still have one spare, just let me know.

I was pretty surprised at that, too. I've used hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash before. Someone told me it was the best thing for your mouth. When I saw that lesson, I was shocked and surprised.
Hope your WOYWW anniversary was spectacular. I'm 21 this week, or at least I was the last time I checked.

I'm so relieved I am not the only person leaving comments this late in the week!! Just spotted that you have left a comment on my post for WOYWW. Yes, I'm up for the scavenger hunt challenge again. Apart from the sheer fun of it - I think it may well prove to be a great way of getting John out in the glorious Welsh summer air. Brought him home on Thursday afternoon - after 6 weeks in hospital!
