About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Scavenger Hunt 2015 - part 1

Thought I needed to get off the mark with this year's Scavenger Hunt.

I never seem to have my camera with me, so I have to use my phone instead or I have to be quick in case someone sees me so my photos aren't that good.

Anyway here are my first few entries:-

#08. Someone "plugged in" to social media.

My son is never far away from his beloved computer nor tablet!

#02. An ornate door knocker.

Saw this on a walk and had to go back armed with camera and be quick in case anyone objected!

#07. A Turtle.

Always an opportunist! So there I was waiting in the glass shop for the guy to cut me some glass for our french doors. I looked around and there in a tank were a couple of turtles! Had to use the phone so not the best quality.

#01. A bouquet of Flowers.

Not to disappoint with the favourite item so far, I popped into our local super market (had to use phone again) and snapped these colourful flower bouquets.

#11. A Cellular Tower or Television Satellite Dish.

Knew where to find this cellular tower, as the camouflage is so funny.

#03. A Person Walking a Dog (or other animal)

As I live near Epsom Downs Racecourse I went with the "other animal" and just caught these fine horses coming back from their morning exercise on the Downs.

#14. A Traffic Signal

Here are the horses crossing the road at a pelican crossing and also my closest traffic lights, nearly on green.....

Looks like I have 7/21 for part 1.

Not bad!

By heck you did so well.

Had to smile at the tower. I thought it was a tree:)

Hope you've had a lovely day. Sue

Wow! YOu're doing great! Way to stumble across the turtles. I love, love, love the door knocker. That's the one that may be the stumbling block for me. And great camouflaged cell towers.

Great start to the hunt! I like the camouflaged cell tower and the horses. I haven't found an ornate door knocker yet - great find!

LOL - the cell tower I'm hoping to photograph is similar to yours. Funny camouflage!
