About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, DĂ©copatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Stamp Man Challenge - Make it for a Man

In search of my mojo I decided to have a "play" with my new Tim Holtz stampset. You can't really escape masculinity with the Warehouse District set so the result is just the ticket for the current Stamp Man Challenge.
I used 2 of the new Tim Holtz Spring Distress Inks mixed with some Festive Berries, I seem to like this colour combination at the moment. Then a bit of stamping in Snowcap Dabber and Jet Black Archival. I added a metal fob watch brad and some coloured string plus parts of a mini cog diecut. Don't ask me why I added the date, but I have one of those little date stamps where you rotate the numbers and it just hopped out of the drawer!
Yep definately, made for a man.

I always think date and time go well together so I quite like the date on it. Love the tag, great colours and love the cogs and the compass too. Crafty hugs, Anne x

I really like the date on it - must see that when I visit! I love what you've done with the background - I NEED those colours! Wow - I really like your new stamps and that's from someone with an aversion to all male crafty things. . . . . great job BJ.
