About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

12 Months In View - Blue May Page

Thought it about time I did a page in my journal for May other than my calendar pages. I have combined quite a few prompts and things to come up with this page.

First I used one of the "giveaway" pages as a backing paper. Then I stencilled on top with a stencil acquired from Helen at craft club. Also at the same craft club I got the flower fairy sheets and low and behold I managed to pick up 2 with plants I have bought this month too.

I have planted 4 Periwinkles in the garden this month, 2 in the front and 2 in the back.

I had a Hyacinth in a hanging basket too (yes I know the fairy picture is of Grape Hyacinths but never mind).

The poem prompt got me thinking and the Flowers Fairy website had the perfect one for this page.

So with a bit of doodling and liquid pearls and stickles, I was done.

Hi BJ, just love your fairy page! Such lovely soft colours, and such a coincedence that I am currently making a fairy page (well spread) myself. Totally different form yours though, mine is forest and mushrooms hehe! Hugs Frea
