Well The Craft Barn have foiled me again with their twist on the letter. I was unable to do Mother's Day for "M" now unable to do Father's Day for "F" as the twist sets the letter as "Fe to Fr"!
Onward and upward, I found a Cornish May Custom called the Floral Dance or Furry Dance (couldn't use the latter due to twist!)
I distinctly remember Terry Wogan on Top of the Pops with this too, and now I know what he was singing about.
Lily of the valley buttonholes are worn for this event, upwards for the men and downwards for the ladies, which explains my page.
About Me
- BJ
- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

The whole of Cornwall groaned at Terry Wogan hahaha!!!! We have our own Floral Dance here in Callington now too!!! But nowhere beats the original in Helston where they used to go into each others houses :D
Fabulous page BJ xxx
Visiting from the Craft Barn - I did wonder what you would come up with after being disappointed about not being able to do Father's Day - and you came up with a beauty!
I always enjoyed listening to Terry :0)
Lovely page, in France they have a charming custom of giving lily of the valley on the 1st of May, the symbol of happiness.
