About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #213 - Photo Week

A veritable treat for you all today, my desk mid-crafting! Shock Horror, BJ makes a mess! Yes this is the weekly WOYWW jaunt around crafting desks of the world to see what everyone is up to.

Been taking more photos this week than crafting. Firstly for the 2013 Summer Scavenger Hunt and we had our first photo share this week too. Then there was the 12 Months in View jaunt around our house looking for stuff with Roses on.

But back to the desk, you'll see my July calendar page in my 12 Months Journal, I made the butterfly stamp for it.

The mess is all for the twinchie for week 4 of the Summer of Colour Challenge - the colours being Charcoal Grey and Pale Pink. I wasn't really inspired but had a go anyways. The crackle glaze on the dove didn't work too well.

Last week's craft club was a Distress Masterclass and here is one of my cards. I did a mini tutorial here and the craft club's blog is here.

This week's craft club was cross stitch. My eyesight certainly was a challenge, but I managed this in club so was quite pleased.

Happy WOYWW everyone.

Hi BJ, busy as always. Great calendar pages, love that hand cut stamp, what a great idea. I wouldn't have been much inspired by pink and grey either - I had an ex-boyfriend whose parents house was decorated in pink and grey, pink walls grey ceilings - yuk. Have agreat week, will you be starting on your Tim Tag? MMx #47 (I think)

Hi BJ, mess, what mess? It just looks the everyday desk of a crafter to me. Pink and grey is one of my favourite colour combinations, that is, for wearing, but I wouldn't have thought of it for a crafty project. However, it works very well and your twinchie is lovely. Lovely post altogether. Hugs, Elizabeth x #60

I didn't play in WOYWW this week because I'm leaving soon for the holiday. But first, I wanted to tell you how much I liked your pink and gray SOC entry.

Like you, I wasn't especially fond of the colors, but I am glad you found a beautiful way to use them on your twinchie.

Wow, that cross stitch in one evening? Nothing wrong with your eyesight gal!! You are busy, I'm not sure how you get it all done..and you know what..the smaller the art, the more mess it makes..fact. Law!!

Where you at craft club with Helen by any chance. I've just seen something very similar on her desk?????
Your makes are all beautiful. Charcoal grey isn't a colour that immediately comes to mind is it, but the pink works really well with it.
