About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #215 - This & That

Morning WOYWWers, here's what I've been up to this week.

I made the last twinchie for the Summer of Colour Challenge so now have a set of 6 critters.

I made a card for a swap using a piece half made at craft club last week.

I made a drum twinchie as my son passed his grade 4 Drum Exam.

I did letter "Y" for the Alpha Challenge and received a "Wall of Fame" badge for my "B" letter on Bonfire Night.

I received a swap of a decorated envelope containing as sketch, ribbon, diecuts and a photo. The photo just happened to be of a swan and I went Swan Upping on Monday too.

Last night my son was presented with an award for his Science work from the broadcaster and journalist Nicholas Owen. It was held at Epsom Racecourse.

Am just hopping about some desks before work, must get ready soon, but wanted to check yours out first! You have had a busy week as always... well done on your son's drum success! (I do keep the curtains shut when I am out in the day, it does help the bedroom but not the living room!) Helen 19

wow, you've been busy and you've had a pretty momentous week! You must be very proud of your son. I really like the idea of Twinchies like postcarads and memory points, they'll make a great collection, and not overwhelming,

Couldn't you have made a few things this week instead of sitting around like a slug? (JOKE)

Very impressive wrap-up of your week in review. All I managed was stressing over that coding for my blog's T post, and making my SOC covers and book assembly.

I love the way you have assembled those twinchies. That is one incredible post card. Love it.

Congrats on the badge, and a lovely shot of your son collecting his award. Glad he's into science. He'll be able to use that on a resume someday (probably sooner than either of us realize).

Like the Yorkshire Day piece, too.

I programmed my VCR (yep, old school) to tape Endeavor, but when the electricity went out, it was lost. Tried to watch it at PBS.org, but it wouldn't load. Now I'm frustrated. Caught the last 10 minutes of Fugue, so know who they arrested, but not much else (grin).

See you Monday for sure at the SOC wrap-up.
