About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm a lapsed crafter of late but still managing my diary Scrapbooking, plus cards as required. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband and son. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, not really got back to the latter since the pandemic. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I am a Christian.

October - 12 Months in view

For the 12 months challenge I have done the October page in my zine. I love how the quote I found sees the positive side of the falling leaves as in the opening up of the view and seeing more. I used up my left over metal leaf and a few other spare diecut leaves, birds and acorns.

I have also done my tag using the techniques on this month's recycled article.

I swiped acrylic paints for the backing with some glitter glue spots.

I stamped some stylised Cow Parsley on acetate (our printer has enough problems with paper let alone acetate!!). I stapled these onto the tag.

I added some pieces of washi tape to anchor the acetate, then added some fibres and wrote "grateful" down the side.

Gorgeous makes BJ, I adore the warm colours and those book page leaves are superb. Fab techniques on your tag too, love the acetate element and the pocket is adorable.
Huge hugs x x x

Your October leaves are divine. I love the metal leafing. You made the quote come to life, too.

That tag is fantastic. I would never have thought to use washi tape to hold the acetate. I've never heard of cow parsley before, but it is beautiful. Truly awesome.
