About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #226 - Craft Clubs

I have been to two different Craft Clubs since I last posted my desk for the infamous WOYWW hosted by Julia.

Last night we made little felt things. I made a red heart and a pink and blue bird. As you can see I was jolly pleased with my achievement.

Everyone worked hard and managed a bit of chatting amongst the silent times of concentration!

Last week got me started on my Christmas Cards using the" Juan" Sheet Method where you use one sheet of patterned paper to make lots of cards. I made 7 cards from one sheet of 12"x12", and 4 from another sheet of 6"x 8.5" plus another 2 cards making 13 in all.

Other things this week are my October Calendar and my Alpha Page for the letter "J".

Even if I'd been home and ready in time, not sure I'd have managed such neat stitching, it just isn't what I can do - they do look gorgeous though!! What's up next month? Happy WOYWW. Helen 14

Your felt makes are gorgeous. We make those little birds at school with the littlies but they cover theirs with sequins and glitter when they've finished and they go on the Christmas tree.
Everyone seems to be starting their Christmas cards this week, I'm going to have to get organised.
Happy WOYWW

That's a lot of cards from one sheet of paper, we may challenge ourselves to that. Your felt hearts are really lovely, no wonder you were so pleased.

The Juan sheet method--oh my! That made me laugh until I snorted. I started to make some cards like that the other week but stalled mid-project. It is a good way to get lots of cards made up quickly (well, if you don't give up part way through). You felties are quite sweet and I love your J alphabet page.

Love those 'little felt things'!
I also like the idea of making so many cards form the paper..... maybe we should have a challenge to see who can make the most, with half inch squares not counted!!!
