About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #227 - Explorers

Funny how a hospital appointment on the day you usually go food shopping can make you forget WOYWW! Well there it is, the reason I am late today, that and I haven't done much crafting lately either, besides the Christmas Cards - here. Oh woe is me.

So on my desk are my latest endeavours of sewing nametapes on my son's new Explorers uniform plus all his badges on his shirt plus the hems need sewing on his new trousers too.

I did manage to print off the giveaway tag pocket and flower of the month from the 12 Months in View challenge and make them up/stick them in my journal.Oh and a scalloped circle die fell into my basket too but that is the sum total of my crafting.

If you are curious as to how my garden is looking this month (also for the 12 months challenge) the post is HERE along with the shed all done - LOL.

Oh the joys of WOYWW and all the desks you can visit.

Oh a scalloped circle die - how lovely. I think if I were anywhere near one of those it would fall in my basket too! That tag and pocket are so pretty: I love cow parsley. You are so ahead of me with your Christmas cards! I blush to admit that I haven't made a single one yet! Have a great WOYWW! Julie Ann xx #38

That reminds me I have a set of scalloped circle dies- The Sizzlets ones! Absolutely had to have them when I saw them, and I think I've used them twice in about 12 months, lol. Story of my craft room, that is. Have a good week, Hugs, Shaz #31 xx

Wow 57 cards would more than cover my Chrissy Card list, and here I am with only about 3 made so far.....lol. What age group is explorers, our foster son is in scouts and they have to sew on their own badges and get a badge for doing it.. I am sure your new scallop circle die will get lots of use, I know mine does. Have a great week! Danie #16

Hi BJ, sorry for running late ... your post reminds me that I still have to sew a little badge onto my son's boyscout uniform too. I don't even think about C cards now, but I usually do only a few anyway, mostly on commission. Your stuff looks great, love the tag pocket:-) Have a good week, Suzanne

Happy Belated WOYWW. So much sewing to do - it must be difficult to sew on those badges, or is there some kind of glue you can use? Ali x #45

Sometimes life and family gets in the way of our crafting but I think you are managing your balancing act really well. Love the card and little pocket

oooh! the stitching on of badges!
My DH found his old Scout blanket that he made years ago and some of the badges were loose so I foolishly said I would tighten them for him ...... 50 year old blanket needed darning first and on and on and on it went - took two days in the end!!!!
