The last month of the year long "take a photo from the same place each month" challenge on 12 months in view finally comes to an end this month.
I chose my back garden as seen from my craftcorner and I marked the open window position to get a similar photo each month.
Yesterday I did a big cut back of the overgrown and half dead shrubs mainly on the right-hand side and really glad I took a photo before I did this a few days earlier.
Today I bought some more Primulas and Cyclamens to brighten the border up a little.
Have to say my garden seems to be a month behind the "flower of the month" over on the 12 months blog as the snowdrops (January) are only just appearing but we do have a load of them, everywhere, can't wait until they are all out.
My crocuses (February) on the other hand are nowhere to be seen in the grass which is rather waterlogged at present (I planted in between hail showers this morning!) There are a few in this pot but still they are nowhere near flowering as yet.
STOP PRESS
Look what I spotted in my neighbour's front garden when I got back from badminton. YES some purple crocuses. Yippee.
About Me

- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Green? Grass that's green? I can't believe it. Are you sure you didn't photoshop the color in (grin)? It's snowing here, and we are supposed to get 9-12 inches by tonight, then more snow on Thursday and even more on Saturday. I want to see green in my yard, but I suspect all I'll see for days and weeks will be white (grin).
I've really enjoyed seeing your back yard through the months. It was the perfect place for monthly photos.
hahaha at Elizabeth :-D
Oh you are so lucky to have snowdrops up! They are very late down here, which is unusual. Could be because the ground is so soggy of course. Its been a pleasure to watch your garden change over the year BJ, thank you xxx
I just read your message to me about the rocking doodle. Went there and actually SAW it. Thanks. I'm featuring my CNY tip-in on WOYWW tonight. I've shown it already, but it's the only rocking horse I'm willing to get out today, since it's so cold in that craft room.
Still can't believe the color of your grass. Love those crocuses, too.
I'm so jealous of the green grass, flowers of any kind and your ability to be outside in somewhat temperate weather. It's cold and snowy here with a forecast of more of the same. They say the groundhog saw his shadow so that supposedly means 5 more weeks of bad weather. I'm thinking that groundhog needs killed! LOL
How wonderful to see bulbs coming up already.
