About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Twelve Months - Zine of Zines

Having finished my 4th and final zine yesterday, I now got to see how Bernice put them together on the 12 months blog.

I glued my bottom edges together as I had already taped up the other open edges with washi tape each season. Then I glued each zine to the next.

I didn't have any scraps of leftover sprayed card big enough for the cover so I just used some Kraft Card.

Then to decorate the cover? I used the bits and bobs I had left from the 12 giveaways during the year. A couple of sheets for the backing, a collage of the various yellow flowers, and the spare flower names cut up to spell out, "Twelve Months". I had to be a little inventive to make all the letters required.

What a great way to make a little book.

Thanks Bernice for showing us this technique.

Beautifully done BJ, this looks amazing. Gorgeous bursts of colour throughout and what a fab way to use up the leftover bits for your cover.
Huge hugs x x x

I'm totally impressed with this book, and love how colorful it turned out.

I was afraid when I saw all those challenges you were in, that you were going to be over your head. Ironic that I joined both CB and Journal 52 after I saw your's and Dawn's posts. But I don't have all those other challenges hanging over my head, so I feel I know how much I can chew off, although getting caught up to everyone else was a bit of a struggle. But I'm glad you are now on track doing as you choose.

Good to read about the inks. I will wait patiently to see what transpires.

Hi! I happened to see your comment about Distress Stain when I was commenting on Elizabeth's Tea Day post. I just wanted to say that I recently had a similar problem with a bottle of Distress Stain--it developed a terrible odor, and I had to throw it away. I'm sorry to hear that it happened to you as well, and I'd be interested to hear whether Ranger resolves the issue with you.

By the way, your Twelve Months book looks great! What a great way to reflect back on the year and reminisce. The book looks pretty and colorful, too.

Have enjoyed your work! You inspired me to try new things. Love your zine-especially the lettering and flowers. So fitting!
