About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #152

Hi Folks, well here we are again displaying our desks for all to see and trawl through courtesy of WOYWW. This week I am in receipt of a couple of orders from Create and Craft after seeing Rosemary Merry on their Sunday Scrappers show last week. Excitement faded to sadness after opening the first parcel as the black scrapbook album you can see was damaged severely. Looks like something was dropped on it or something but it is quite unuseable. They have agreed to send me a replacement - phew! It is my first album with the new "Snap Load" binding system and that looks very promising indeed after all the troubles I have had with extention posts in the past. Second parcel was the acrylic sheets for mini albums and the pad of card - jolly nice. I have also ordered their Great British Crafting kit from Kanban but that is still "in the post". As for actual crafting, you'll be able to see my altered book and the ATC's I made from the left over paint (one is hiding on top of the heart drawers for the anniversary SWAP soon). I have also made my Pirate SWAP card for the MAY SWAP on my craft group (UKPC) but that is also hiding behind my altered book! I received a "Pass the Book"  book via Carolyn and some yummy chocolate too - thanks Carolyn. I have my next set of photos ready to scrap of Mother's Day, and my Beth Moore Bible Study book. I think I need a tidy!!! BJ

I was sorry to read about the postal delivery that went awry. It's good they are replacing it, though. Sounds like everyone is oohing over your AB, too!! Happy WOYWW from #4 this week.

Lots of great stash here - glad that your album is being replaced. Spring inks - mine are coming from the Stamp Attic, but Artistic Stamper and Art from the Heart have them and Paperartsy have them coming. Go grab!! Helen, 7

How disappointing to have a damaged item, hope you don't have to wait too long for a replacement. Your pic of unbrella's etc. is very appropriate for our weather at the moment, was that your inspiration?! #73

Disappointing about the album, but at least you didnt have to put up a fight, let's hope the next one is in tip top shape on arrival. I'm not familiar with the snap and bind thing...will you show us one day? I can't enlarge your photo but am sure I spy umbrellas on your journal page. Oh my word haven't we needed them!

Lots to see there and new stash - mmm! Thanks so much for calling by. Yes I cut my own stencils, or use off cuts from paper punching. I saw a great video yesterday from Donna Downey using textured kitchen sponges and old flip-flop soles in her work! I have a 1960's typewriter that works great - use it all the time Enjoy WOYWW and your week, Sarah at 1.

Looks like you'll have plenty of new things to play with in the meantime. You'll have to show us what you have planned for the new scrapbook when it arrives.
Have a great week!

Another Silent Setter fan then??! Lol. Actually my Silent Setter is in a drawer, what's on my desk is a set of three scissors, but from the same company and the case is exactly the same so well spotted. Shame the album arrived damaged, hope the replacement turns up soon.

Didn't get round to any desks yesterday as I was out, gallivanting, so catching up a bit this morning.

I see your AB on the desk and I love the umbrella pages, represents whatever season you want in this country.

Thanks for calling by yesterday - much appreciated.

Wow, lots of goodies on your desk this week. Hope you enjoy the book passed from Carolyn! Is that the Believing God study of Beth Moore's? I'm currently leading the James study that just came out but am planning to work through Believing God on my own this summer.
