About Me
- BJ
- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

I've Seen The QUEEN
We waitied by the roadside for ages and finally about 5 minutes to one the motorcade came by. The Queen's car at the front and 6 other cars behind. My husband had his big camera and kept the shutter button down and this is his best photo. The Duke was looking straight at us too and the Queen waved. My eyes welled up and I nearly burst into tears!
Here's the scrappage I did of her Majesty a while back displayed in the hall together with my new bunting from LLJ. I have just watched the Derby on TV and Camelot won coming in from the back - more tears!

I think your adoration for the Queen is so sweet. I think it's a little difficult for us Americans to understand this love you have for her. Mainly 'cause we don't get as excited over the President, if I knew Obama was coming through town, I would stay home! HA! I love that bunting you won from LLJ, it looks fabulous on your stairway! I am so happy that your husband got a great shot of her and the Duke, tell him wtg! waving hi from the not so royal hills of North Carolina :)
Awe, how lovely that Prince Philip was looking into the camera! I think they are amazing doing what they do at thier age. I couldn't do half of it! Love your bunting and your LO too, xxxx
What a fabulous opportunity and photo!! Sweet LO too! Thanks for your comments, and one of Tim's stamps would be amazing, but I enjoy all the Tim Holtz products I have. According to the USPS tracking, my package is due to arrive this afternoon. I'll be glad to let you know what it is if you want, or you can enjoy the suspense and be surprised. (I'm guessing it will take longer to get to you) :-) I am a new follower and invite you to follow me if you enjoy my work. ~ Blessings

Wow BJ, how lucky were you to see her up close and personal like that! I do so envy you. I have done nothing all weekend except stay glued to the telly, soaking it all up. I did not enjoy all the acts in the concert but nearly lost my voice singing all the songs! Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog and it looks like you may be in for a lovely gift from TH (just read the above comments). Anne x
How fabulous!!!!! I was glued to everything all weekend, even the Derby and I'm not really a racing girl!
How lovely! I think the Queen looks more beautiful now than she ever has.

Good pic of the Queen and Prince Philip. I predict a new project featuring this? Here in the USA she's an inspiration, too. Your home is so pretty with the Jubilee decorations. Thank you for your nice comment on this week's WOYWW. Charlotte #125.
