About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #157 - ATC City

Hi everyone, happy WOYWW. Have had a great week making ATC's for lots more SWAPping. There are 4 more on my desk at the moment, pending... I made the dolphin one for my main SWAP and then had to make a few more. Then I got all PATRIOTIC - I wonder why?
The 2 on the easel are ones I have received so far in the SWAPathon, from MAY and Redanne.

We did get to see the Queen as she drove to the races last Saturday. Can't believe we have lived so near for nearly 14yrs and hadn't tried to see her before. You know where I'll be each Derby Day from now on - LOL.

Managed to get hold of some Foil Tape at B&Q today, my friend Julia, mentioned this to me a while back. She's made some great stuff with it.

The other thing on my desk is my trusty Fiskars paper trimmer, love it.

I guess that is me for the week. Still haven't caught my breath from last week. Thanks everyone for making it a fab week, especially Julia.

I'm surprised your ATC's don't have the fab queenly picture that your hubby took on them! lol Seriously, I only wish the queen knew how touching it has been to see how much y'all care for her! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Lucky you to get to see the Queen. I knew you were excited when you created that AB spread. In the states, the foil tape is called HVAC tape (heating and air conditioning). I get mine at the hardware store. Looks like you made some awesome ATCs, though. Very impressive!

Good Morning BJ! I saw your pic of the Queen and it was amazing, hubby did so well to get it. Love your new ATCs, love mine especially, with the dolphin, thank you again. That tape sounds interesting, got some from Ranger but it is a tad expensive, if you need to practice like me. Off to B&Q to find it. Anne x

Helloooo! Thanks for stopping by today.

The wooden WOYWW stand you asked about was indeed from another anniversary - the first one. When there were an awful lot fewer than now, Julia's lovely hubby made them for her to send out to her linkers. I joined just after the anniversary but she had one left and I begged it from her. She dropped it off in passing one day, and when we eventually met up we hit it off, so I'm chuffed to have got one...

You have a lot of things on your desk, but still lots of room to play. I need to learn to give myself some more room (but still have it all out too). Your ATCs, both coming and going, look fun. I never have tried to see someone famous because I don't do crowds well. Well, I guess hubby dragged me to a book signing by Ozzy once. He didn't pay me no mind, just signed. Hey, I'll bet you at least got a wave from the Queen!

What a fun assortment of ATCs! So glad you had a chance to see the Queen -- your husband managed to get a very good shot considering it was a moving vehicle passing by! Happy WOYWW (on Thursday) ~ Laura #101 (Thanks for popping over for a visit already.)

Thanks for stopping by my crafty space and leaving me a sweet comment...I wish you could come round to play too! I think I have something very similar to that foil tape, now I just have to see if there was a link up there for me to follow, huh? So then I will have a new technique to try out, yippee! :) And the ATC's you've created are fabulous! I took lots of pictures of mine, except one that I forget to get the final pic of before I sealed it up to mail, but I'm waiting until this next woyww to post them since my mailing took so long! And they were mostly all international too...so I don't even know how long they will take to get where they are going. Well, I'm off to google that now,
take care! :)
