About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #225 - Sewing

I think I hinted on getting my sewing machine out a couple of weeks back and I've had a few items which needed altering in a pile for a while so out it came. It usually lurks in the back of the wardrobe and probably gets used a lot more in Narnia than it does here - LOL.

I have shortened the strap on my Tim Holtz messenger bag and added some "D"-rings to his apron as I am sure they were both made for a giant, of which I most certainly am not. I have also taken in some pj bottoms and trousers for my hubby as he has become so trim with all the cycling - lighter than me now even.

Anyway, as for crafting projects this week, all I have done is a page in my 12 months journal and I am pending doing the October calendar pages soon using one of the stamps I made the other week. The colourful box is my micro beads which haven't been used YET.

Oh so much to do, so little time. I'm off to Craft Club this evening so at least I'll do something there.

Come join the fun in the weekly mega desk hop we lovingly call WOYWW over at Julia's.

Have fun.

ooooh, you had me at micro beads :)
LOVE looking at what's on your desk - there's such eye candy there - and your journal page is just wonderful - full of so many layers and detail.
Thank you too for your sweet comment about homeschooling, you really made me smile :) xoxo

I don't know what I'd do if I had to move my sewing machine every time I wanted to sew something. Glad you got it out. Of course, I doubt you'll be sewing any paper like I do.

I'm not playing this week, but stopped by anyway. Have a great WOYWW.

good morning! Love the journal page. Won't talk about the sewing machine, not really my thing though I do sometimes think that I should look at getting one of those tiny ones to use for paper, I think my wife would not be impressed if I got inks and pastes all over the big one!

We want to dive into that first picture and forage around in your stash, it looks very inviting. Alternatively, we'd be quite happy to join the sewing machine in Narnia too. :)

Joining the sewing machine in Narnia sounds good - as long as it is AFTER the 100year winter and Christmas can come!! great stuff all over - you look like you are going to continue to be one busy lady.
Have a great week.

I love the fact that your sewing machine goes to Narnia. Maybe it plays with mine there!!!! You sound like you've given it a good work out now it's back anyway.
Love your journal page. Have fun at Craft Club, it's mine tomorrow, although sometimes there's more chatting than crafting gets done!!
Happy WOYWW

Funny you should mention microbeads. I picked up a bin the other day and it was surprisingly heavy. I had no idea what was in there so I had to peek--micro beads in little glass jars. I haven't used those in forever nor seen anyone else do so (or even mention them!). I love your fly south page. I'm ready to do so myself. It is soooo cold in this office. I need to migrate.

Oh good girl BJ...my altering pile will be waiting a day or two more, I'm sure! Like that 'all' you've done is that journal page - it's fab, surely took more than a few minutes at your desk! I've borrowed some micro beads from LLJ for some embroidery I have planned....and haven't quite cracked them open yet..they look so pretty en masse!!
