About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #245 - Big Tease

I have a significant birthday this coming Saturday, as can be seen by the beautiful card I received from Anne a week early and opened by mistake!

I thought I needed to mark this occasion with something a bit special and I took delivery of this package yesterday. Obviously I can't open it until Saturday, but thought I might get you all guessing. Such a tease. I have placed it on my desk the right way up, not upside-down like the delivery man had it! I'll reveal all next week, and maybe I'll post clues in the week too!

I have done a lot in my 12 Months in View journal this week. I used the giveaway papers for my flower of the month page and I made up the pocket and tag, the front of the tag became my Timmy Tag for February.

I also raised an issue with Ranger about some of my Distress Stains changing colour or becoming smelly and I await replacements.

I have been watching the Winter Olympics and have been totally taken in by the artwork they have been using. I did a page in my journal, diary (DLP) and my February zine using the designs.

I then made up all the 4 zines into a little book.

Do come and join the fun in what we lovingly call WOYWW at Julia's pad.

Happy guessing!

And the clues start

1) Going by the comments so far I can say it is NOT a visual craft as such although it will be something nice to look at in itself.

And I think your parcel contains a xylophone!!!!

Hi BJ-
Aren't those graphics gorgeous at the Olympics? The first time I saw them I was bowled over. But my mouth was literally hanging open (not a good visual!) when I saw your pages....they are FABULOUS. How did you do that. I want to copy it. BADLY. They are so vibrant and full of life - now that I stop to think of it so different than my usual impression of Russia, but then I suppose that's the point. And what a grand idea to make them into a little journal.
I have no idea what the package is - I'm terrible at riddles so will just look forward to the big reveal next week.
Enjoy. Hugs.

Hi BJ - a big birthday - but, oh, SOOOOO young!! That crocus page is beautiful - well done. Think I know what is an the parcel from its shape - but am I allowed to guess out loud???? Can't have everyone else thinking I'm clever.. just happen to share an interest, if I've guessed right.
Have a great day.

Happy birthday a few days early. I'll be back to wish you one properly on your big day.

I think you're teasing us, and it's really a metronome. JOKE!! I actually have NO idea what it is.

I confess I haven't been watching the Olympics. But I love those colors and I may just have to watch now that the colors are so visual.

Thanks for visiting me while I slept, ate, and cuddled with Bleubeard. I can't believe you visited me before I visited you this week. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Hi BJ,
You are such a tease. I'm thinking it must be a small harp?!?

Your Sochi journal pages are great. Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch much of the Olympics; saw a bit of the Opening Ceremony (lucky enough to watch the United States march in).

Thank you for visiting me already!!

Happy WOYWW
