About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #250 - Scrapping

Another week of more harping than crafting but I did push myself to get last Summer's photos scrapped.

I have done 4 pages and have 2 more lined up to stick. Only one more before I get to order some more prints.

I really ought to think before I order my prints as I always order too many and either cram them on a page or leave some out altogether.

I did buy some new Xcut dies last week, had been thinking of the egg for some time especially as Easter is round the corner but the paisley gave me ideas of that nature too. Hmm I wonder what...?

I finally received the DVD from the States to go with my Harp book. I am struggling a bit on the end of lesson 2 (English Country Garden) and lesson 3 uses TWO hands and I am all over the place with that! This could take some time!

Think that is me for this week, pop over to Julia's for more desks across the globe in the infamous WOYWW.

Well done with the harp - two hands is good! I teach piano and my adult learners complain at how it's like rubbing your head and patting your tummy at the same time, but they got there! Loads of practice is fab, you'll soon be whizzing through those tutor books :-)

Lots of great pages there to bring back good memories and fun times. I don't scrapbook but if I did I'm sure I'd order way too many prints too. I'm fond of excess like that. I'm impressed that you are trying to teach yourself the harp. That's just so cool.

Wow, BJ, what a week! Two hands on the harp - at the same time!! I am impressed! So soon, too. Sounds like you are really enjoying it - and that's great. Well done.
Those are lovely scrapbook pages - it's soooo long since I visited the Mumbles - first went there as a guide in...erm...1963. Ouch, that's a LONG time ago.
Take care, and have a good week.

I'm very impressed with the harp playing seeing as I always wanted to learn piano. Did you see the girl with the harp on a The Voice, or don't you watch rubbish like me :-)
Great scrap booking.
Short visit this week I'm afraid, very late today with the linking up.

You will get there with the harp, BJ. Beloved Hubby is learning to play Bass guitar at the moment, with Rocksmith, and he said his fingers keep falling over each other, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #38 xxx

Good for you for learning to play the harp. What a lovely instrument.

I haven't scrapbooked in nearly two years now. In fact, since the kids are grown & gone, I've stopped taking family pics at all, just so I won't feel like I have to Do something with them, lol.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the nice comments about my kaleidoscope cane.

Happy Woyww,

I guess I never realized you didn't print your own photos from your computer. How naive of me. That's why I'm not a scrapbooker, I guess. But you have created some beautiful pages that will give you many memories in years to come.

How ironic. Just yesterday, I saw that paisley die being used as a shortcut for Trapunto sewing. If you're not sure what it is, it's the technique where you NORMALLY add layers of batting between the cut quilt layers to get a puffy effect.

This gal cut the paisley pieces from trapunto batting, laid the pieces over the bottom coat, added a layer of fusible webbing, then stitched and quilted around the paisley pieces. It really looked like the free motion feathers I've seen people make.

Had to laugh at your comment. I take it you don't like to cook (grin). Thanks for visiting me earlier today (because it's still Wednesday in my world) and happy WOYWW from #2.

Thanks for your visit BJ, we had a lovely day on the boat with our friends, but it was rather windy.
Your photos look fun, you really do go to town with them. We are very poor at taking pics and even worse at printing them.

Hi again BJ. No I don't remember walking out to the lighthouse - as a guide I would have been doing whatever my guider told me to do. It was my very first guide camp!!
