About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #163 - Sprayed!

Ah! back to the land of WOYWW and what do we find on my desk this week? First up I bought a Junior DYMO machine from WHSmiths, yes you can still buy the mechanical versions, refills are expensive enough so glad there are no batteries! Then (after the Timmy Tag this month) I bought an all singing, all dancing, anyway up, plumbing air thingy from B&Q. WOW it certainly does what is says on the can! I also cut off a piece of sequin waste to use as a stencil. I only have star ones as I hang my Christmas cards on them. Then the most surprising purchase, CRAFT STAMPER magazine. Those of you who know me will gasp at this as I am NOT a stamper at heart but it was the only magazine with a bit of background, Dylusion style, in it as I couldn't find any art journaling magazines.

Then to PROOVE I have actually tried out my spray booth, a couple of photos of my colourful experience.

And finally a few ATCs.
1) a play with my first sprayed ATC.
2) received from a SWAP
3) about to wing its way to the Philippines.

Oh, very impressed with your spray booth! Your ATCs are brilliant, love the London one (of course I would - still loving all things British) and I really must get one of those air things and stop using the straw! Happy WOYWW, Anne x (

no number yet, too early)

Love the atc's, my can of air is nearly empty, it's from a camera cleaning kit years ago, never thought of B&Q and it's only round the corner from me!! Have a great day, Helen 22.

Wow BJ, busy busy honey. Your ATC's are gorgeous, particularly love the sprayed one, so vibrant and cheerful.
Lol, knew there was a reason why I didn't wing out a craft obsessions pizza box with the recycling this morning - perfect base for a spray booth, looks like your's does the job perfectly.
Big big hugs x x x x

I love your ATC's and I LOVE your spray booth.
I need one of those :)

Thanks for your comment on my blog regarding talking to our children. I hear so many stories from others how when their children reach a certain age, they just don't want to talk to them anymore. Or talk about important things.
It's nice to know that is not always the case :)

Oooh lovely - love all the colours - is the blow thingy worth getting then? I used a straw to blow my inks around and to be honest I am not sure if the finished tag was me or not but your backgrounds are great. Thanks for visiting me!

I got a machine that blows stuff out from between the letters of your computer keyboard without ever leaving freezing spray. Never heard of your stuff, though.

I LOVE the ATC with the bus, guard, and flags. This is probably my favorite British inspired art I've seen. BTW, I have two of those Dymo label makers, but mine aren't mini. I have a friend who has an electric one, but I still like the real deal the best.

FUN atcs, and what a great thing, a spray booth!

I'm not going to lie, I'm just too lazy to make one--a big cardboard box in the garage is as good as it's going to get around here!!

I just got some sprays myself and plan to set up a bit of a spray booth with a pizza style box myself. I used to just go outside but that isn't always convenient what with having to find shoes, move leaves, and dodge bugs. I have that same dymo label maker. My dad had an old one but no one seems to know where it is. I'd love to have that one as they don't make them like they used to. They are fun though. A Craft Stamper, huh? We'll have you a full blown stamper yet!

Ohh I like the sprays you used. So vibrant. Love the little booth too. You have some lovely ATCs there. I need to make more. I made some for the swap and then got lazy again.

Thanks for dropping by my desk.

Love your desk and the spray booth, BJ. I think I ought to build a proper spray booth because I'm getting messy with my new Dylusions sprays! I made a couple of small ones (one for ordinary spraying and drying small stuff with the heat gun to stop it all blowing away, and the other for spray glue) but I probably need something larger scale.

Your ATCs are great too! I've just sent one off to the Philippines too - wonder if they went to the same place lol!!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Thanks for your lovely comment, BJ. Glad you like my little spray booth! I've got 2 pizza boxes downstairs waiting for something useful to happen to them up here - some people add sides to these and create spray booths but I think I'll use them for storage. I sent my ATC to Peggy, too! What fun! Can't wait to receiver hers from the Philippines!

Sorry to hear you've been experiencing difficulties tracking down one of those heat tools too. Perhaps they're out of stock everywhere and need to be manufacturing some more. I expect there's been a run on them because everyone seems to be using them on Youtube etc. etc.
