At Craft Club today we did glitter paste through stencils. It was the table I missed at their sister club the other week so I was well pleased. The glitter paste we used was from Glitz Craft and the colours were gorgeous.
The stencil I did first was a Christmas one - well I have to start sometime. I needed to add a bit of distress ink first to get the outline, then I glitter pasted the central parts of the trees. The reveal of the stencil was rather satisfying.
I then did an Art Nouveau stencil, which I cut in half and made up the pink card and had this rose left over so it might just make its way onto my June pages for 12 Months in View as the flower of the month is a rose.
I followed this by doing the Wild Flower stencil. After that I covered a few butterfly and dragonfly embellishments with the paste too. Time just flew by today so I gathered a few card blanks, patterned papers and ribbons so I could complete the cards at home.
I found I missed a few bits on the embellishments so I used distress inks to fill in and to edge them.
I was looking at the green dragonfly and realised that The Summer of Colour colour pallet this week was Citron Green & Turquoise so I just had to use one of them.
I have decided to make twinches for this year, it is amazing what you can fit on a twinchie.
Oh and one lady today thought I was slacking with my blog lately so I hope this is quick enough this time - LOL.
About Me

- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Your tree card is on our blog now too - before the finishing touches were added! Love your other cards too.
great idea for the SOC, Annette x
Hi BJ. What a great idea. Your work came out awesome. thanks.
All that detail on a 2" card. And I thought an ATC was pretty small. Looks great!
Oh yes! Love that idea - and your first twinchie is just beautiful! LOVE that glittery dragonfly and the trim! Looking forward to more, thank you! xo
what fun!!!
What a sparkly post! I admire people who are able to cram so much loveliness on to a small canvas. A postcard is the smallest I've got down to :)
Lovely cards, very pretty! <3
That ribbon is a terrific touch. Lots of great textures in this one. It is amazing all you can get on a twinchie!

What lovely ATCs. I am always amazed how much beauty can be captured on such a small canvas.
The cards are amazing on your desk. Love the monochromatic sympathy cards. I need to make one and that is very inspirational.
Thanks for sharing.

Super sparkly and summery!! So cute.
Well, no more vying for Number 1 on Kristin's list. I'm not nearly as quick as you. BUT, I have to admit, my citron and yours look suspiciously the same color. I thought mine was from my scanner, but maybe that's the true color of this CS.
Love that you are doing twinches. I've never tackled that size. Such a fun color combo to start off with!
So nice to meet you and your art! I will be back next week. I thought I already commented because I saw this yesterday I think if I did I apologise but it got me to admire it twice lol :)
Absolutely lovely!
Love your little dragon fly and flowers.

Sweet cards...x
A truly lovely post. I adore that Art Nouveau rose; it reminded me of Rene Mackintosh. I also really like the dragon fly one: dragon flies, moths, anything with gossamer wings I love. Julie Ann xx
Your card ideas and the colors and the technique look great. I love the glittering dragonfly!
Looks like you had a lot of fun! Love your twinchie. I have never heard of them before I will need to go google! :)
How pretty this is, great job with the colors. Can't wait to see more of these next week!
I can't believe someone told you you were slacking! :P Cheek.
I love that you are doing twinchies - I love the idea of them but haven't tried them yet. I may have to - I can imagine a frame filled up with them would look gorgeous!

Love the idea of Twinchies and this one is just gorgeous! :o)
I've never heard of a Twinchie until now, I'm looking forward to seeing more. I think that is one of the things I'm most excited about with SOC, seeing new things. :)
