About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #233 - Cards & Decopatch

Not felt like much this week after last week's Wisdom Tooth Extraction. Still quite sore.

On my desk, I have just taken delivery of my décopatch order. They are always so prompt, a delightful on-line store I must say.

One thing I noticed is that all the items to décopatch are made in the Phillipines so helping their economy each time I buy.

The pink tags are from a Magazine Freebie, yes sucked in again, but they came with a set of 3 nesting tag dies so who could resist. The magazine - Papercraft Essentials Issue 100.

I did manage to stick and finish off my 3 quilling cards but had no mind to make any more quilling items.

I did make some other cards, but they were more out of necessity than anything else.

First a card for my son's friend's 14th birthday. I cheated a little and copied my son's of last year as they play the same computer games.

Next up a couple of "New Home"cards. One for the UKPC craft club swap and the other for one of the members who was moving. Oh I guess you'll all know by now as she is a WOYWW lady too. Hopefully she'll be settled enough to join in this week - Hi Elizabeth!

So that's me folks, pop along to Julia's "new look" blog for links to desks around the world.

Cor, I haven't seen quilling for ages...it's so effective a technique, isn't it? I love the selection of decopatch papers too, gorgeous colours!

Love the quilling cards! That's one area of paper crafting that I decided I didn't need to get involved in. You have so many neat little things tucked amongst your desk. Happy playing!

Hi BJ, lovely post - your desk looks ready for lots of crafting even if you are still getting over your wisdom tooth extraction. Hope the soreness goes soon. Quilling ... never been tempted to try this as it seems quite fiddly but your cards are lovely ... the Christmas tree is super. Love the New Home card - the sentiment inside is so appropriate and cheered me up immensely when I read it. Have a great week, Elizabeth (breaking from unpacking crafty stash) x #43
