About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Junk Journaling too. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, but am plagued by a bad back. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I guess I am officially retired now. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW #236 - Plenty Award

Here's my desk this week and pride of place is my Craft Club Award.

Not sure if you were on board with my "Juan Sheet" episode, where craft club used "one piece" of patterned paper to make lots of cards with. I was so tickled pink by the class title that I went on to make quite a few lots of "Juan Sheet" cards.

Here's my original post including the UK advert which sparked all the hilarity. HERE

Anyway, little be known to me the craft club make awards for the end of the year and I was presented with the "Plenty ACMC Award for
Best Newcomer". I clapped in delight. Isn't that just FAB. Here are the tags I made the organisers as the sister club finished this week too.

Other crafty things this week are the last 2 pages for the Craft Barn Challenge which I have posted HERE.

Also various pages/items for the December pages of my 12 Months Journal. And finally all the little pillow box diecuts from craft club this week ready to be made up for my advent pocket calendar as they are just the right size.

Hope this wasn't too long for a WOYWW post but I know some of you love to know what I have been up to. Wisdom tooth socket getting better slowly so to make up for that I fell down our outside steps and have mega bruises and my ribs are all sore too. Whatever Next?

I almost forgot about WOYWW, and had to quickly get my art photographed. Glad I saw your post.

I love the Stars and Stripes page. Are you a Johnny Depp fan?

Have a great WOYWW. Obviously, I don't have a number yet.

Oh, I love the award!!!! What fun and hilarity! I popped over to your post about the cards and caught the advert. Then everything made complete sense! Great cards, by the way and thanks for the visit - glad you like Kat as Siouxsie - she is a good sport and has modelled for Matilda before. Julie Ann xx #45

I love the fact that your craft club presented you with that award!! Fab sense of humour there!
So sorry to hear of your fall though, I bet you ache all over, poor thing. Not much you can do except a long hot bath and rest....
And I edited my post to include 11.12.13 ;-)

I fear I only explained to Cara what a tip-in is, so I apologize. It's an old bookmaking term for a page you add to (in this case an altered) book. To add it to your book, you cut two adjacent pages the length of the page about 1/2 inch away from the spine. If you recall, this is also one of the ways you can remove pages (and excess bulk) from a book you want to alter.

Next, add glue or tape to both inner sides of the flaps, then insert the page between the two flaps. Close flaps and make sure you have good coverage of your glue or tape.

I hope I explained it this time. If not, please ask further.

Love your desk and congratulations on your award! Who doesn't want a crafty award! Now, you must get out there and pick up some purple felt and make some purple ornaments for sure--felt is so fast and easy to sew. Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #10
