About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

Alcohol Inks Revisited

As a lot of my alcohol ink play had just been put in my bits and bobs tin, including the landscapes I did this week, I decided to fish it all out and make up some cards.

Of course I had to sort out my bits and bobs tin in the process and chucked out lots of scraps - liberating!

Anyway, I got to work and did some stamping on the landscape pieces using archival ink. I also added sentiments to a few of the cards I had already made.

I made up the mosaic/seahorse from scraps.

I also got my alcohol inks out to make an A4 piece for my Club Challenge. I used my Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer to blow out the drops of alcohol ink, doodled with black pen and added micro beads to the centres of the Dahlias, plus some liquid pearls. Don't those pesky micro beads get everywhere!

Lastly, not exactly alcohol inks, but one photo paper print of Dylusions from shaving foam which was in my tin, so I stamped the Indigo Blu lady and made that up into a card as well.

Also the poppy silhouette I had made at club last year, finally now a card too.

Funny what you end up making when you don't intend to.

What a fab lot of cards you've put together! Love the indigo blu lady. Oh those pesky micro beads hide everywhere, don't they?!

What a gorgeous lot of cards! I love the scenic ones you made using the blobs the alcohol ink made as scenery. Love the seahorse one too. They are all great! I'm not sure why my computer scrolled me all the way down here, but I'm glad it did!
