I am loving the warm rich colour palette this week of Raspberry, Tangerine & Lemon, a bit fruity even.
I found a previously embossed piece of white card in the Watch design and just added Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks.
I painted on some Lemon for the numerals and stuck some yellow card circles in the centres.
It needed something more so I mooched around and found the diecut flowers which I inked more yellow with Mustard Seed, plus the leaves with Spiced Marmalade and the centres are pink liquid pearls.
Nothing I had ever imagined, I just went with the flow and it all seemed to come together. Much happier with my piece for this the last week of the Summer of Colour Challenge.
Thanks Kristin it has been a great colour-fest again this year.
- Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm a lapsed crafter of late but still managing my diary Scrapbooking, plus cards as required. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Art Journaling, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband and son. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing, not really got back to the latter since the pandemic. I like walking which I couple with Geocaching and sometimes Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I am a Christian.

Hi! It has been a fun SOC party this year, hasn't it? I absolutely love what you did with this week's colors. So creative and beautiful! HUGS!!!!
I like it. You did a great job.
I especially like finding embossed cards or designs. When my mother died a few years ago, I found boxes filled with every greeting card she had ever received. She was 96, so there were a ton of them. I took many to the recycling bin, but I saved hundreds for collages & ATCs --- especially like the embossed ones. If nothing else, I cover them in gesso and repaint them.
It's always nice to find a piece of stash that you've previously made and didn't know what to do with then make something as eye popping as you have from it. Lovely colours so bright and cheerful. Well done.
Really lovely and so beautifully coloured and painted. I like the addition of the lemon flowers too.
