About Me

My photo
Hi, Welcome to my Blog. I'm an eclectic kind of crafter delving into many pots. I am just about managing to keep up my Scrapbooking Diary (usually about 6 months behind), plus any cards as required. I have a new found love of Watercolour and Bible Journaling plus recently Faith/Art Journaling too. I've challenged myself to make an art journal page a day for this my 60th year. Previously I've also dabbled in ATCs, Tags, Altered Books, Mixed Media, Décopatch, Knitting, Crochet, and Embroidery amongst other things. I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, our son has left home now. For exercise I usually play Badminton and go Ballroom and Latin Dancing. I also like walking/Geocaching and sometimes do a bit of Bouncing on my Rebounder (mini trampoline). I have been learning to play the harp for the past 10yrs. I am now officially retired. I am a born again Christian, currently worshiping at my local Vineyard Church.

WOYWW - #266 - Où est BJ?

Still here but have had a sort of break from things, challenges, WOYWW and the like.

I have still managed to do The Summer of Colour and am chipping away at the 2014 Scavenger Hunt (Photos)

As you might notice there is something missing from my desk - namely my laptop. Well it finally gave up the ghost. I'm now sharing the main PC with my husband although I do have a tablet as well.

Worst bit is when he's at work and decides to commandeer the PC remotely and logs me off whilst I am doing something - not funny I can tell you.

Anyway popped into town shopping yesterday and bought some new clothes plus a saunter into "The Works" so my desk is showing off my goodies.

Oh that would so freak me out if someone took over the computer remotely ... I'd be disconnecting the internet just to freak them back out. Great new treats to play with on your desk

Hi BJ
My brother 'takes over' my computer sometimes to fix stuff. It was weird at first to watch the cursor take on a life of its own!
have fun with your new stash

Hi BJ. Have enjoyed looking at your photos - you have already got quite a number - I've only managed one so far - not been anywhere really! Good looking desk this morning - hope the computer doesn't get taken over too often!!
Take care. God bless.

I am SUCH a sucker for letter and number stamps :) and I often use them while they a re still stuck on the packaging as an overall background. I like the cheap goodies found at the Works - you tend to think if you use it even ONCE you got your money's worth LOL! Lovely desk, full of fun (loom bracelets too - DD got one but it's already fallen apart....)

Happy WOYWW!

Pretty tops, and great stash schtuff!

I only get the main PC when DH is at work, when he's home I use my lap top. Problem is I scan to this one and can't get pictures to lap top without connecting them together. This one seems to have problems so I try not to do that.
I used to have a boss that would connect from home and it is a weird feeling to get log off right in the middle of something.
So I feel your pain there......grin
Have a great week

Hi BJ nice to see you again. The techie at school used to do that when we were working on the computers it's a very strange feeling watching it apparently doing it's own thing Lol!
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #41

Ooh BJ, sounds as if you had a good day's shopping, those vest tops are lovely and summery and the bits from the Works make me feel I must get down there. Did the pretty pink and blue paper with feathers come from the Works?
Shame about your laptop, we don't realise how much we rely on something until we don't have it.
Naughty man pushing you off the PC remotely, tell him you need a laptop and you need a new one now.
Bless you

The "monster stamp" I made is actually a piece of clear linoleum that I carved with linoleum tools. The scissors were just to angle the edges so it was easier to have a clear space to the edge.

It is definitely easier to carve erasers than the clear block, but it was easier to carve that than the old linoleum blocks of the 70s lol.
